Hi. I am taking my college courses online, and my professor is using a website through Pearson Education, which uses a lot of flash.
The assignments I have to complete are in flash. I am able to read the questions, but I cannot make it select the answers by pressing the left mouse button on the keyboard, even with JAWS and invisible cursors.
Does anyone have any suggestions about how to work with flash and JAWS, or is there another screen reader or internet browser that would do better with flash? I am currently using internet explorer as my web browser.
Any suggestions would be appreciated, as my assignment is due within the next few days!
Thanks,
Misty
Sounds like the same thing my professor uses except it doesn't read the questions at all. I think the only thing to do is first email your professor explaining the situation and go to disability services and see what they can do.
The software in the website is not accessible.
Hi.
I emailed and talked to the disabilities office, and they said they are all working on it with the assistive technology person. I guess they are trying to find a way to make it work with JAWS, but I don't think it can, so I guess the professor may need to send me the questions by email or something. I also emailed Pearson Education about it, but I never got a reply.
